More Baby Summer

I have been so lucky to be with BriAnne and Micah and Summer for more than 2 weeks and it's been delightful, a dream come true actually. Here are some fun "brag" photos...enjoy :)
In her bath towel... I get to give Summer her baths and I absolutely love it. She wasn't a big fan at first cause she likes being swaddled tight, but now she is relaxing and having fun. I love her cute little giraffe towel.

She makes the cutest little crazy faces sometimes like when she's trying to focus her eyes. We have lots of little conversations all day and sometimes through the night.

She sticks her lip out like this when she is all finished nursing and doesn't want anymore, so darling.

A little grandma time :)

On our way to her first doctor's appt yesterday. She had a cute little face until I snapped the picture and then she did this one, ha ha.

In her carseat on the way to the doctor. She weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces now (BriAnne's birth weight) and she is in the 75th percentile for her height and the 40th percentile for her weight. The doctor says she is doing perfectly.

Mommy BriAnne and Summer going on their first outing...we went to Babies R Us and bought some more nightgowns and little leggings, it was really a great time.

Every time she nurses she poses her little feet like this. She looks so relaxed and simply happy!

We love to snuggle.

I love that she's getting chubby cheeks.

Being a Grandma Rocks!!!

Sweet and pretty in pink, I love this little one so dearly.

Sleeping beauty.

Brand new from heaven, weighing in at 7 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long...Hello Summer!

We Are Grandparents!!!!

Meet Summer Marie Snow! She came into the world on May 7, 2009 weighing 7lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long. Bri was such a champ and did a beautiful job delivering her. She was born at American Fork Hospital. Bri's water broke at 7:30 in the morning. She called us and we were able to both get on a flight (Thanks Scott!) that afternoon and we arrived 2 hours before she was born...perfect timing!
She is so beautiful! She has dark hair, blue eyes, a button nose and Bri's cute little lips.

This was soon after she was born, the nurses put cute little pink bows in her hair :) She's looking up at mommy.

Rob and I.....this feels amazing!!! Let's do it lots more times!! It's amazing how instant that bond is. We just melted when we saw her and the feelings just get deeper. Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful blessing!

GRANDPA ROB and miss Summer :)

Proud Daddy Micah. He is such a tender daddy. He stays up in the night with her and holds her on his chest while they both try to sleep, so precious.

BriAnne and Summer. Summer loves cuddling with mommy.

BriAnne's Baby Nursery

In April I got to fly to my sweet mommy-to-be's house and help her complete her nursery. We had a wonderful week together. We shopped and played and stitched and watched girl movies and sewed and shopped and ate and shopped some more and worked too. I loved going to her OB/GYN appt. with her and getting the scoop from her doctor, mommy and baby are doing so well! We had fun finding cute things to put it all together. This is what you see when you first walk in the room.
These darling decorations are from Rod Works, a great place to check out if you are ever in American Fork.

BriAnne found the beautiful bedding and the neat chandelier (it's vinyl). There will be a all hanging on the left side soon. I found a cross stitch picture of a baby holding a teddy bear that I made when I was 18 and newly married in Mexico. So Bri is going to frame it and complete the wall. Isn't that damask so cute?!

Back wall next to the closet with a Baby's First Year calendar and neat Tai Pan Trading clock, in pink and black of course :)

That glider is the best thing ever, sure wish I would have had one of those when I was having babies. We made the curtains and the cute little ruffled tie backs and we lined them with a black out fabric so the room will be darker for nap time.

Hanging the chandelier was fun too, not hard and makes the room look to cute. The curtains are a damask print with chandeliers on them too!

This is my favorite part...the LOVE wall. I want to do something like this in my office at home. What a great idea Bri! All in all it was a wonderful memory for me to spend that time with our BriAnne and such fun as we are anticipating Summer's arrival. :)

Here's a virtual tour of the nursery! :)

Rob's Primary Class

Rob is an amazing Primary teacher (he also serves as a ward missionary) and loves to challenge the kids to do extra thing and offers them big rewards. He promised the kids a pancake breakfast and fishing in the canal when all of them had the 13 Articles of Faith memorized. Every Sunday after church these boys would come over to pass them off and they finally got them all done. So Saturday morning at 6am they came over for pancakes and fishing...they had a blast. Brett Hardison teaches with Rob and he came too, it was great fun!

Rob biting the fishing line to bait all the poles, hee hee, he LOVES fishing!

Update on Westin

Thought I'd post a little about Wes and what he's been up to lately. He is finishing up his 2nd semester at MCC and is "in between" jobs right now, still looking. He's been taking temple prep classes and going out with the missionaries frequently. Last Saturday Tiana Beckstead was baptized, the Becksteads are a wonderful 2nd family for Wes. Since he doesn't have younger siblings he likes to hang out over there sometimes and be the big brother while his best friend Brandon Beckstead is serving a mission in Ireland. They love Westin and treat him like a member of the family. Just before the baptism, Bryan and Britton Beckstead were here in the yard with Wes helping him mow and trim the yard. He loves spending time with them.
Another picture of Bryce, Westin, Britton, Tiana, and Bryan at Tiana's Baptism...5-2-09

Westin and little sister Tiana

These guys are all in the temple/mission prep classes together and the Sister missionaries have adopted them as their little brothers to help them get out on their misisons. The sisters came over and showed them a "Preach My Gospel" video clip to give them a taste of what's to come.
Preston Ferrin, Nathan Wiehl, Christian Larsen, Sister Smith, Sister Foster, Ren Bryant, Westin, and Matt Dawson. GREAT GROUP of young people!!

And finally a tender picture of Westin holding his cousin Maren, she is such a cuddle bug and very hard to resist. Westin loved holding this squishy little bundle, he'll be a great daddy some day.

My 29th (okay, 47th) Birthday lunch

My buddies Tami and Deb made a scrumptious lunch for me at Tami's house and Sarah and Kacie joined in on the fun too! These girls have been such fun great friends through the years and I LOVE them. Yay for birthday lunches :)

Jake's Birthday Cake

Sarah and I wanted to make a personalized cake for Jake's birthday so we decided on a Guitar Cake! It was a lot of fun to make and it turned out so well that Jake wanted to play a tune on it :)
We hated to cut it cause it looked so fun.

Cute Chef Sarah

Happy 27th Birthday Jake! We are so happy and blessed to have you in our family... rock on!
